A car hit me from behind, and my back is killing me now, should i file a claim?

A car hit me from behind on Friday afternoon. I was completely stopped. I was driving a big Tahoe and he was driving a Tacoma. His bumper was completely puched in and my bumper had some dings. It wasnt until Sunday Morning I couldnt get out of my bed at all. It went on until I went to the doctor on Tuesday. He said I had back spasms. He gave me some medication. It is now Thursday, and my back is still killing me, even with the medication. Should I sue? File a claim? How much money can I get?
