Should a store be able to shoot to protect inventory in a collapse?

If your town collectively decided that they need food to survive and the town votes to invade the Super Wal-Mart which is closed due to the collapse of cash should they be able to shoot the townspeople? Or in short should companies have the same rights as humans?
