If he loves me, he should be ok doing this, right?

If he's telling you he loves you then he should have no problem setting his status to in a relationship. It's possible that his family is wierd, and that he wants to make it gradual. I know my father is stupid when it comes to my girlfriends, and he always seems to hate them. He could be hiding you from them to protect you. You should really talk to him about it though, because you deserve to know. Just be honest and tell him it is making you feel jealous and you dont like feeling that way.
